Toilet Paper Attack

Sometime Saturday night, we had the first reported Toilet Paper attack in our neighborhood. The Princeton Model was defaced with rolls of Toilet Paper. In what some are calling the Great TP Attack of 2003, there were no injuries but costs could be substantial.

We will be forming the EGMPPAF to take action on this heinous crime. EGMPPAF - Evergreen Meadows Paper Product Attack Force. Samples of Toilet paper will be analyzed and a full investigation will ensue. If you have any information on the hooligans responsible for this tp attack, please notify the Task Force. Remember only you can stop the use of Weapons of Minimal Destruction.

Warning: the following photos are heinous and not for the light of heart

AOL - Email Issue for our EM site

Update 10-21-03: This is still an issue. AOL believes our web hosting company has a SPAM email vulverability (although it's never been proven or exploited). Our web hosting company Avahost say's they'll address the potential issue. It's been 5 weeks since first reported. It has been reported several times with no solution and is not corrected.

Be advised if you have an AOL Email address subscribed to any of the Evergreen Meadows distribution mail lists you have not been receiving any Email from this web site for at least a month. This issue affects 16 people. It was discovered AOL is blocking all email from our web site as 'SPAM'. The issue was brought to the attention of the AOL postmaster and our website hosting company on 9/12/03.
Until resolved check this web site for new articles and community news. Temporary solution: if you have another Email account (not AOL.com) you may subscribe your secondary Email to our \"ALL\" list. This 2nd account may be deleted once the AOL issue is corrected.

If you are subscribed to our 'ALL' mail list and your Email address is with AOL, and you HAVE received community Email during the past 6 weeks please notify me at harry@evergreenmeadows.org

Street Lights - Section 2

Street lights were installed today 9-8-03 for section 2. I inquired once again for the plan and costs for street lights for section 1. We've been trying to get NOVEC to produce a section 1 plan for 18 months! Richmond informed NOVEC today that the plan for section 1, which supposedly has been in development for some time now, is imperative to be communicated this week to Richmond. Stay tuned for updates as I receive any.
Update 12-15-03 Miss Utility marked underground utility lines and NOVEC's contractor is beginning to install section-1 street lights. See new article on this subject in the News section.
Update 11-4-03 NOVEC sent cost proposal to Richmond. Bill was paid this weekby RAH. Scheduling will be the next hurdle as facilities were not proactively installed in Phase-I. Trenching between side walk and street for electrical conduit will be required.

Also received word 9-8-03 that additional fall re-seeding of the Phase-1 common area circle will commence prior to 10/30. (This was completed on 10-23- 03).

Bomb Disposal Site Needs New Home - Activity Suspended

Update: September 2, 2003 -- Loudoun County Board of Supervisors voted 6 to 3 to suspend all activity at the detonation site, and to locate a new site, possible inside a quarry.

Leesburg Today - Aug 26, 2003 -- There’s a powerful push coming from local politicians and Leesburg area residents to have the bomb disposal site at Loudoun County’s Fire and Rescue Training Center near Leesburg Executive Airport moved to a more secluded area. Since the FBI, military and Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office detonated hundreds of explosive items during the evening of Aug. 20 at the bomb disposal site, without public notice, the outcry has been to get the facility away from residential neighborhoods. A public forum meeting is set for August 28th 7 p.m.

Phase-II and Phase-III Progress - August 2003

100% of the 100 homes constituting Phase-II are under contract, however Leesburg has yet to release the final 10 lots to Richmond so these homes can be built. About 35 Phase-II homes have been completed as of mid-August.

Richmond is waiting on Leesburg to release permits for the first section of Phase-III lots. There has been an unanticipated delay in receiving the permits. Phase-III permits were expected to be released in June. Now it appears it will be at least mid-September. Only 27% of Phase-III will be Legacy models
