Safety Committee/Community Watch :: Community Watch Schedule

Evergreen Meadows Residents,

Here is the upcoming schedule for the Community Watch classes. The meetings are always the 4th Monday of every month and there is always a new topic. Please remember that we have to maintain a 50% Community Involvement as part of Community Watch. What this means is that 50% need to attend 2 training sessions per year. So far, we have had the same 2 - 3 people in attendance. It would be great to see the Leesburg Police Department meeting room busting at the seams ... as in the same manner that we crowded the School Board meetings. Ok, enough of that....

Schedule:

• Oct 22nd -7pm - Halloween Safety for Children-appropriate for younger elementary aged children
• Nov.26th – 7 pm- Holiday Season Safety Tips
• Dec. 18th – 7 pm (moved due to holiday) - Residential Burglary Prevention

Thanks,

Joseph Hays

it is our understanding that the ARB now meets only once a month. is there any way that requests be expedited or do we need to wait till after their monthly meeting before results of additions to the house are in? it is extremely difficult when you are negotiating with contractors to do outside work in winter months.....any advice, suggestions, comments would be greatly appreciated.

The Town of Leesburg is not part of LCSA so we can continue to pour 1000's of gallons of water on our lawns in order to keep them green.

I thought it was against the rules to have any signs posted in our front yards..excluding for sale signs of course. Any input on this would be helpful.
