Just flushed 4.5 yr old 50 gallon A.O. Smith hot water heater that was delivered with house (been on To Do List for some time), even with opening and closing cold water valve to stir up sediment to "power flush" I only got about handful of sand and mineral. Sentiment did parially clog drain valve while opening and closing cold water valve, but water pressure was able to fully blow out the sentiment. Used short garden hose and repeatedly filling bucket so I could measure monitor the sediment. Anyone have similar experience? Has anyone inspected or replaced the anode rod, what was the condition of it? Where can a replacement anode rod be purchased, should it be magnesium or aluminum? Has anyone inspected or replaced their T&P relief valve?

Gobble Gobble, it's football and Turkey Time!!

Last Year we had a wet but awesome time playing football at Simpson during the Thanksgiving Holiday!

Here is another open invitation for Father and Sons/Daughters to come on out and play some 2 hand touch or flag football.

I am thinking Thursday, Early before Thanksgiving dinner or Friday afternoon, maybe even Saturday. I'm up to all suggestions from anyone who wants to play.

I also think since most of our kids are playing basketball this winter we may want to think about playing flag instead of 2 hand touch, 2 hand can easily turn into 2 hand shove or tackle, I don't want anyone getting hurt playing a pickup game of football.

I saw flag football eguipment for sale cheap at Target, Dicks and Play-it-Again Sports.

Please give me a call or shoot me an email if you are interested.

I just wanted to let you all know that D + D Air Conditioning and Heating LLC is wonderful to use if you have a furnace issue!

They live in EM and were very professional, timely in the response, knowledgeable, and got the job done right. The rates are very reasonable and it's nice to have someone in our neighborhood who knows what to look for with a Richmond American home.

Their number is 703.779.8007.

I had very good interactions with D + D and wanted to spread that word!

i would like to get the exterior of my home decorated for the holidays. Does anyone know where I can find some services that can do this? I am not too comfortable with the high areas of my home, so hiring someone would be best for me.

any suggestions?

From what I understand, since we are part of the City of Leesburg, we are not technically under the same water restrictions as the county. However, I completely agree with you - it really irritates me to see neighbors continuing to water their lawns with the lack of rain and all the water restrictions in place in this area. Could we have some concern for our environment and what we leave to future generations? Is it really necessary to water your lawn in mid-October? Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who is monitoring the people who are still watering their yards in the community? I still see homes who are violating the restriction.

Do we report them to the Police, HOA or is this part of our responsibility as community watch members to turn the violators in?

I had to cancel my yard service and my grass is dying, but I still see nice green lawns, so you know there getting watered.

My two cents!
