The book club selection for the month of November is "Flies on the Butter" by Denise Hildreth. Our hostess will be April Parker (112 Richard) on Wednesday November 28 at 7:30pm. We welcome newcomers as well as the faithful attendees. Bring a friend and share in the discussion and fun times with neighbors and friends.

Coming in January: "The Wednesday Letters" by Jason F. Wright.

Starting Nov 1, drivers can access the Greenway from the Battlefield Parkway overpass located between Freedom Park and Heritage High School. The remaining ramps are schedule to be open by end of December according to Leesburg Today article whose link is below:

Pack 1550 will be distributing empty grocery bags to homes on Saturday, November 3. Please take the following week to fill up this bag with non-perishable food items. Leave it on your doorstep the following Saturday -- November 10 -- and a Scout will collect it.

These donations will go to the Community Holiday Coalition. We would especially appreciate donations of cereal and peanut butter. Also needed are grocery gift cards in $10-20 amounts for perishable items. Glass items are acceptable.

Please attend the Evergreen Meadows HOA Annual Meeting on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 7:00. The meeting will be held in the Community Room at the Leesburg Police Department HQ located at 65 Plaza Street.

Two seats on the Board of Directors will be determined at this meeting. If you are unable to attend please give your proxy to a neighbor who will be attending or you can drop them off at a Board Member’s house. It is important that we have 10% participation in this election. That is just 33 families but we just made that number last year!!!
